Mustafa Kagalwala has reputation that follows him, which is one he’s proud of. He’s widely known as a go-to person for anything related to IT internal controls, and for good reason. He has over 12+ years of experience leading various SOX IT, Pre IPO SOX services, Internal Audits, and SSAE16/18 engagements. Well versed in the various IT technology platforms and emerging technologies. Mustafa has a strong foundation and working knowledge of frameworks and methodologies complying with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) and Control Objectives for Information Technology (COBIT).

Mahatma Gandhi said “Live as if you were to die tomorrow and learn as if you were to live forever”. This quote defines how Mustafa lives his life constantly unlearning and relearning.

Mustafa was born in Mumbai, India and like a true ‘Mumbaikar’ he is passionate about cricket and spicy food. He celebrates food and an advert adventurer exploring cuisines and restaurants during his globetrotting trips across Asia, Africa and Middle East. Great host who loves to cook up a great Indian meal. Mustafa enjoys hiking during the weekend and going on camping trips with his wife and 5 year old son. He believes in giving back to the society and is very active in his local community volunteering for social cause, nature preservation, clean up drives, food waste management. Playing Volleyball and Football with his local community is his definition to be fit and as he say ‘’keep the blood pumping”.
