Audit Staff
As an audit staff, you will assist in engagements by working with more experienced team members who can provide you with direction and learning opportunities. You will gain an understanding of the business by working on various stages of an audit. The minimum qualifications for Audit Staff are:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Accounting or comparable subject, in order to qualify for the CPA examination
- Highly motivated to learn technical skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with business software applications, and with Excel functions in particular
Audit Senior
As an audit senior, you will plan engagements, manage fieldwork, and supervise audit staff. You will communicate audit and accounting issues to clients and engagement leaders, and assist in concluding and wrapping up audits. Minimum qualifications for Audit Senior are:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in Accounting or comparable subject, and preferably a CPA
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in public accounting, serving private and public companies
- Organizational skills, including an ability to manage multiple engagements
- A willingness and desire to work on projects from planning to completion, with an emphasis on quality and timeliness
- Ability to identify auditing and accounting issues and to communicate them clearly and timely
- Ability to oversee all tasks associated with audit engagements, including the mentoring and coaching of audit staff
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with business software, and with Excel functions in particular
Tax Staff
As a staff in our Tax practice, you will assist with the preparation and processing of tax returns, working with more experienced team members on tax issues, filings, research and correspondence. The minimum qualifications for Tax Staff are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably with a major in Accounting or its equivalent to qualify for CPA examination
- Highly motivated to learn technical skills in formal classroom and on the job learning environments
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent skills in using business computer applications
Tax Senior/Supervisor
The Tax Senior/Supervisor is responsible in supervising all tasks associated with tax engagements, including the mentoring and training of staff. Working closely with the tax engagement executives in the review of tax returns and income tax provisions related to corporate, partnership and individual taxation. The minimum qualifications for the Tax Senior/Supervisor position are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master of Taxation a plus
- 3 to 6 years of tax and accounting experience within a public accounting firm
- Proficiency in corporate, partnership and individual taxation, including the ability to review returns prepared by staff and to provide planning, research and compliance services to our clients
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements
- The ability to supervise staff associated with tax engagements, including mentoring and training of staff
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, familiarity with ProSystem Tax, ProSystem Fixed Assets and ProSystem Trial Balance software a plus
Tax Manager
The Tax Manager is responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; providing primary and secondary review of complex tax returns; developing and managing staff; and working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities. The Tax Manager is responsible for an assigned group of clients. The minimum qualifications for Tax Manager are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, must be a CPA; Master of Taxation degree a plus
- 5 to 8+ years experience in the tax practices of large public accounting firms
- Proficient in corporate, partnership and individual taxation and relevant tax guidance such as SFAS No. 109, SFAS No. 123(R), and FIN No. 48
- Ability to review annual federal and state tax provisions, footnotes and disclosures
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple client engagements
- The ability to supervise staff associated with tax engagements, including review of returns prepared by staff, and mentoring and training of staff
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, familiarity with ProSystem Tax, ProSystem Fixed Assets and ProSystem Trial Balance software a plus
